The Sperm Whale Exhibit Hall was established following an incident on July 4, 1992, when a mother and baby sperm whale stranded on the beach in front of Sicao Dazhong Temple. The baby still had its umbilical cord attached, indicating it had just been born. The local residents wished to preserve the pair in Sicao, and thus, the Sperm Whale Exhibit Hall was built to house their specimens. The hall opened to the public in 1993. The exhibit hall is relatively small. In the center, it displays the skeletal specimens of the mother and baby sperm whale, including preserved cartilage and teeth. According to the information displayed beside the specimens, the mother whale was approximately 14 meters long, and the calf was around 4 meters. Standing next to the skeleton of the newborn calf, which was only about two weeks old, one can see that its bones are already larger than those of a human. A cleaning fee of NT$10 is required for entry to help maintain the exhibit. In addition to the whale specimens, the hall also displays a wide variety of marine life specimens, shells, and traditional fishing tools, making it a great place for families with children to visit.

From the North:

1. Take National Freeway No. 1 southbound → exit at Xinshi (Tainan System Interchange) → National Freeway No. 8 westbound → Anji Road → turn right onto Anzhong Road → connect to Bentian Street → after passing Tainan Technology Industrial Park, enter Sicao → arrive at Dazhong Temple in Sicao. Facing the temple, the Sperm Whale Exhibit Hall is on the right-hand side.

2. From Qigu heading south → Anming Road → turn right onto Bentian Road → turn left onto Sicao Boulevard → go straight for about 1 km and turn left → arrive at Dazhong Temple in Sicao. Facing the temple, the exhibit hall is on the right-hand side.

From the South:

1. Take National Freeway No. 1 northbound → exit at Rende Interchange → Dongmen Road → turn left onto Zhonghua East Road → Zhonghua South Road → turn right onto Zhonghua West Road (Provincial Highway 17, Coastal Road) → turn left into Tainan Technology Industrial Park via Bentian Street → arrive at Dazhong Temple in Sicao. Facing the temple, the exhibit hall is on the right-hand side.

2. From Provincial Highway 17 (Coastal Road) northbound → Zhonghua West Road → turn left onto Anping Road → turn right onto Anbei Road → turn right onto Sicao Bridge → follow the signs to reach the Sperm Whale Exhibit Hall, located to the right of Dazhong Temple.
