The Tainan Dongmen Barker Memorial Church was founded in May 1903. In addition to regular services such as small groups, elders' meetings, communion, and baptisms, the church's ministries are divided into eight departments: evangelism, education, worship, fellowship, general affairs, service, care, and development. Each department is responsible for its own tasks and works cooperatively, with full authorization. The church sets annual goals, and each department and fellowship group designs their ministry plans based on these goals. In terms of fellowship groups, the Sunday School was established in 1915, the Women's Fellowship was founded in 1922 (then called the Women's Association), the Choir was established in 1927, the Youth Fellowship began in 1948, the Junior Fellowship in 1955, the Family Fellowship (formerly known as the Small Family Fellowship) started in 1979, the Songhe Fellowship was formed in 1984, a new Small Family Fellowship was created in 1997, Songnian University started in September 1998, and the Sanfu Team was established in February 2000. In addition to the church's choir, there are also women's choirs, children's choirs, youth choirs, family choirs, small fellowship choirs, and Songnian choirs. Currently, the church has 898 registered adult members and nearly 400 child members. The average attendance for Sunday worship is about 437, youth worship averages around 38, and weekday worship averages about 52 people.
