Introduction
This place gained fame due to the documentary film Let It Be. In the past, its location near the border of Chiayi and Tainan made it a bustling hub for travelers moving north and south, making it one of the most prosperous settlements in Tainan County. One of the film's protagonists, Uncle Kunbin, who won the national rice championship, further elevated the area's reputation. Walking into Jialiou Old Street, one immediately senses a strong nostalgic atmosphere. Traditional houses, historical sites, and various old trades from bygone eras are visible everywhere, making visitors feel as if they've stepped into a time machine, returning to the agricultural society of the 1940s and 1950s. Every detail here is authentic, preserving the legacy of the past.
