In order to improve the waterlogging issue in the low-lying area of Xinshi, three flood detention ponds were developed using ecological methods. These are Daoye Lake, Xiake Lake, and Yingxi Lake. Yingxi Lake is named after the sunrise from the east. Around Yingxi Lake, a complete pedestrian walkway and bicycle path have been planned, decorated with public art, resting seats, and plantings of flowers and trees.
