Introduction

Introduction:

The Former Tainan Police Station, established during the Japanese colonial era, was the predecessor of the Tainan City Police Department. Its primary mission was to maintain public order in Tainan City. In the first year, the station assigned 70 inspectors and 600 patrol officers across various districts, laying the foundation for the police personnel allocation system. Architecturally, the building features a symmetrical design with a portico on the first floor, consisting of three doors flanked by columns. Above the doors is a balcony, and continuous arched windows adorn the walls. A prominent gable wall with the police emblem at its center crowns the second floor, symbolizing justice. The overall design conveys a sense of solemnity, reflecting the station's authoritative role.
