Lord Jiaqing and The Journey to Taiwan

This is a prime-time Taiwanese opera series aired in 2022 by Taiwan Television (TTV) as part of its 60th-anniversary celebration. It is one of the productions in the CHEN Ya-Lan Taiwanese Opera series, produced and starring by her.

The story takes place during the Chien-Lung era of the Ching Dynasty, depicting Emperor Jiaqing’s journey to Taiwan in disguise before he ascends the throne. His mission is to search for his birth mother while traveling across the island. 

The series primarily features two main filming locations:

• Tainan Film Studio, which serves as the setting for the show’s streets, inns, embroidery shops, gambling dens, and medical halls, playing a significant role in the production. 
•  Nan Kun Shen Dai Tian Temple – Daqun Garden, which is used for various palace scenes, which serves as the setting for the show’s streets, inns, embroidery shops, gambling dens, and medical halls, playing a significant role in the production.
