Known as the "New Southern Scenic View" and one of the "Eight Views, Three Wonders, and Three Gardens," the Wushulin Leisure Park is located in the Houbi District of Tainan City. It was once a famous sugar production area. The Wushulin Station in the park was a key transportation hub connecting Xinying, Baihe, Houbi, and Dongshan in the Tainan area. After the sugar production business ended in 1983, the park established the Precision Agriculture Development Center. In 2011, due to the enthusiasm of railway enthusiasts, the Wushulin Scenic Train was launched, and subsequently, the Leisure Museum, Orchid Exhibition Area, Insect Museum, Earthquake Experience Museum, and Camping Area were established. The park is centered around Wushulin's railway culture and has developed into an area that emphasizes culture, education, and leisure. The park covers an area of 21 hectares and its most precious asset is the national-level railway cultural heritage. Over 20 types of train cars, locomotives, passenger cars, etc., are on display, making it a favorite among nostalgic railway enthusiasts. In addition, there are many varieties of trees and natural landscapes in the park, including two century-old trees with trunks over 2 meters in diameter, which grow closely together like a pair of loving "couple trees," creating a unique landscape. Other themed exhibitions, such as the Orchid and Insect Halls, as well as experiential activities like the Earthquake Museum and Traditional Sugar Activity, are also highlights of the park. Visitors can enjoy a series of cultural experience activities, such as exploring sugar industry and railway culture, along with orchid themes, the Insect Museum, and more. Visitors can also ride the "Five-Minute Train" to leisurely explore the fields and observe various plants, insects, and birds. The rich park landscape and cultural resources make it the top choice for family visits.
