The beloved CHEN family is back! Golden Horse Award-winning actress HSIEH Ying-Hsuan and Golden Bell-nominated WU Yi-Han reprise their roles as the older and younger versions of CHEN Chia-Ling, embarking on new chapters of turning 40 and teenage growth diaries. Directors YEN Yi-Wen and CHEN Chang-Lun lead the original cast in continuing the second season of the Golden Bell Award-winning mini-series.​

Continuing from the first season, CHEN Chia-Ling, now back in Tainan, is in a stable relationship with TSAI Yung-Sen. She purchases her childhood haunted house and renovates it to start anew. However, will everything go as smoothly as planned?​

The series is adapted from the essay collection of the same name by author JIANG E. It is written by YEN Yi-Wen, who also co-directs with CHEN Chang-Lun. The cast includes HSIEH Ying-Hsuan, WU Yi-Han, LAN Wei-Hua, HSIA Ching-Ting, YANG Li-Yin, CHEN Chu-Sheng, YU Tzu-Yu, CHEN Chia-Kuei, YANG Ming-Wei, and SUNG Wei-En.​

The first season of The Making of an Ordinary Woman achieved the best ratings for a CTS-produced drama in nearly a decade, leading to the production of the second season, which once again set the highest ratings for a CTS-produced drama.
